Asia is the largest continent on earth and has a total population of over 4 billion. It consists of 42 countries, of which the People’s Republic of China is the largest and the Maldives archipelago the smallest. Anyone talking about Asia immediately brings to mind beautiful tropical islands, thousands of temples, strange eating habits (something with insects), beautiful nature and busy cities. True, but there is so much more to Asia.

Especially historically, this continent has much to offer tourists. How about the extraordinary temples of Angkor Wat in Cambodia and Bagan in Myanmar? Or the royal cities of Sri Lanka and Thailand, Hiroshima and Nagasaki, which were hit by the atomic bomb, and the sights related to the wars in Korea and Vietnam? And so we could go on for a while….
