Taitung is a city of about 100,000 people in southeastern Taiwan. It may not be one of the country’s tourist attractions, but you can still discover some interesting places here. For example, here you will find the oldest archaeological park in the country and you can take a nice walk through Taitung Forest Park. In this park you will find a lake that is very similar to the forest course in Amsterdam. Difference is that there you have a view of the beautiful mountains (see photo). Furthermore, Taitung is also the entrance to the beautiful east coast of the country with Sanxiantai as the undisputed highlight. So let’s go to Taitung…!
