Angkor Wat is by far the most important attraction in Cambodia and Southeast Asia. Every year millions of people visit this temple complex that dates back to the period 1000-1200 AD. It was the main city of the Khmer and also the capital of an empire that at its height stretched across parts of Thailand, Laos and Vietnam.
