Ban Lung is the largest town in Ratanakiri province in northeastern Cambodia. Not very many tourists come to this area and that is a shame. It is in fact the gateway to one of the most beautiful parks in the country: Virachey National Park. Although you can only enter the park with one tour operator, there are many agencies that offer tours where you can still see a glimpse of the environment. These tours are quite expensive, but part of the revenues will be donated to the population. A special project!
Besides this beautiful park you can also visit local villages, waterfalls, temples or dive into the crater lake Yeak Leom Volcanic Lake. In short: there is a lot to do in this non-touristy place in the north-east of Cambodia. Let’s go to Ban Lung…
